Emergency Care

There comes a time when nearly all of us need emergency care.  If you get very sick or badly hurt and need help right away, Beartooth Billings Clinic’s Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days each year, to help. 

Beartooth Billings Clinic is a Level 4 Trauma Receiving facility, which means that the staff and physicians of the Emergency Department have undergone special training to provide them with the most current knowledge and life-saving skills.  

Emergency doctors and nurses treat emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, and injuries.   In our region, injuries may result from recreational accidents, from working with livestock or ranching equipment, or from a motor vehicle crash.  

Some patients may need to be admitted to the hospital, while others can be released home after treatment.

Immediate Care

The first hour after an event or onset of pain is statistically proven to be the most critical time to be seen by a medical provider. 

When the unthinkable happens, you can depend on a highly competent and supportive Trauma Team waiting at the Beartooth Billings Clinic Emergency Department door.  Should transport to one of two Level 2 hospitals in Billings be needed, the Trauma Team will immediately arrange safe and expedient travel via air or ground ambulance.

Emergency Department Staff

At Beartooth Billings Clinic’s Emergency Department, you will be treated by a patient-centered team of nurses, patient care aides, laboratory technicians, radiology technicians, and Board Certified Physicians who are highly trained in:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Trauma Nursing Care
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
All Beartooth Billings Clinic Emergency staff have diverse skill sets and are confident and compassionate with every patient.  The staff provides prompt, confidential, and holistic care to each person’s emergent care needs, addressing the family’s comfort as well.
