RED LODGE — Leadership Montana recently announced the graduation of 46 leaders from across the state as part of its prestigious Class of 2025 Flagship Program. Among the graduates are two local professionals from Beartooth Billings Clinic: Abby Lotz, CEO and Stephanie Baldwin, CCO.

Leadership Montana’s Flagship Program is a seven-session leadership development experience that brings together diverse professionals from across the state. Participants engage in deep personal growth, learn about key issues facing Montana, and build lasting relationships through sessions held in communities including Bozeman, Billings, Chico, Kalispell, Havre, Helena, Havre, Kalispell, and Miles City.

“Leadership Montana is designed to bring together some of the brightest and most diverse minds to help shape the future of our great state,” said Kelly Heaton, Executive Director. “We are proud to welcome these accomplished individuals into our growing alumni network.”

Graduates completed a curriculum that blends Leadership Montana’s homegrown Leading in Montana lessons with Gracious Space: Working Better Together. The program equips leaders with tools for navigating change, fostering effective communication, resolving conflict, and building coalitions. Influences from thought leaders such as Simon Sinek, Brené Brown, and Carl Jung enrich the experience.

“From this experience I have come to appreciate that leadership is a journey of continuous growth which is strongly shaped by our individual values, purpose, willingness to learn, and courage to seek out the difference” commented Baldwin. “I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to participate in this growth opportunity and meet some amazing leaders from all over our great state.”

Reflecting on her experience, Lotz shared “Leadership Montana proved to be a true blessing to my career! I am humbled to have met so many incredible leaders around our great state. Learning about Montana’s history, experiencing several communities in depth, and gaining an understanding of how our rural towns thrive was so fascinating. Leadership is an ongoing path forward, and there is always more to learn. Connecting with others was so valuable, but the true lesson was learning more about myself through the process. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity and encourage anyone who is curious to dive into the program!”

With over 900 alumni statewide, Leadership Montana continues to shape the future of Montana through enhanced leadership and commitment to service. Abby Lotz and Stephanie Baldwin have now joined this distinguished group, bringing their strengthened skills and insights back to Red Lodge and Beartooth Billings Clinic.

Leadership Montana develops leaders dedicated to building a better Montana through knowledge, collaboration, and civility.
